My ride-share car: Nora's only way to earn a living
Without my ride-share car Nora can't work; a $850 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my ride-share car. 8 weeks ago the clutch assembly failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $850. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $850 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $185
• clutch assembly replacement (parts): $530
• Towing and inspection: $135
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Thinking of you and your family. Your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to Columbus so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Iztapalapa.
