My ride-share car: Adriana's only way to earn a living
Adriana drives for a living in Zapopan, and a broken transmission has stopped all income for 7 weeks.

I make my living with my ride-share car. 7 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $450. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $450 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $290
• Labor charges: $60
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $75
• Towing and inspection: $25
Thanks for being kind about this.

sending strength. Small businesses are the heart of Zapopan. Hope you're open again soon. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
