Taguig
I make my living with my pickup. 6 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $250 goes: • Road tax and insurance renewal: $50 • Labor charges: $65 • suspension replacement (parts): $135 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Updates from Wilfredo

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($81 in total) I made the first payment toward road tax and insurance renewal. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 24% now ($60). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for suspension replacement is now scheduled.

  • Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Wilfredo

Sure. The biggest one is road tax and insurance renewal, $50. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.

  • Hope it all works out, Wilfredo. This could happen to any of us. All the best!
