My pickup: Mariusz's only way to earn a living
Without my pickup Mariusz cannot work; a $700 repair would put him back on the road.
🇵🇱 Gliwice, Silesia, Poland1,853 views
I make my living with my pickup. 7 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $700. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 2 children. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $700 goes:
• engine head gasket replacement (parts): $480
• Labor charges: $100
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $65
• Towing and inspection: $55
Every share and every dollar helps.

Wishing you the best, Mariusz. Shared it with a few friends.
Best of luck, Mariusz. I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Gliwice.
Praying for you, Mariusz. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I have a 17 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Blessings
stay strong, Mariusz. Hope you make a strong comeback. Take care!
Best of luck, Mariusz. This could happen to any of us. After 14 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Thanks for sharing this, Mariusz. Your post was clear and honest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Porto Alegre.
