My food truck: Basma's only way to earn a living
Basma drives for a living in Amiens, and a broken engine head gasket has stopped all income for 10 weeks.

I make my living with my food truck. 10 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $450. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $450 goes:
• Towing and inspection: $75
• Labor charges: $260
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $115
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

praying for you, Basma. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected!
is there anything that isn't money that would help Basma?
Thank you. If you're in Amiens I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks, that means a lot.
Wishing you peace, Basma. Your post was clear and honest. All the best.
looking forward to the next update. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Riverside
hope the shop reopens soon. Thinking of Amiens.
