I make my living with my delivery van. 5 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,700. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my 3 children. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $1,700 goes: • rear axle replacement (parts): $890 • Labor charges: $400 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $240 • Towing and inspection: $170 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Ricardo

You're not alone. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Atlanta.

Wishing you the best, Ricardo. Your post was clear and honest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Nagpur.
