My delivery van: Paula's only way to earn a living
Paula drives for a living in Essen, and a broken fuel pump has stopped all income for 6 weeks.

I make my living with my delivery van. 6 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 4 children. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• fuel pump replacement (parts): $930
• Labor charges: $165
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $175
• Towing and inspection: $30
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Hang in there. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 8 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
hope you make a strong comeback. Sent it to 25 people at work. God bless!
Rooting for you. Looking forward to the next update. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Yonkers.
Sending love, Paula. Gave what I could, wish it was more. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust
Sending good thoughts. Your post was clear and honest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from San Sebastián.
Thanks for sharing this. Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Oakland
