Mwende is applying to university - who can guide us?

I'm Mwende, 16, in my final year of high school. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study biomedical science.
I have a distinction average, I volunteer at my mosque and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until August. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
I hope life is good to you.

Take care. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 8 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Radom.
Hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless.
Thanks for sharing this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too!
good luck, Mwende. I hope things turn around soon. Thinking of Dar es Salaam.
Hope it all works out, Mwende. Shared this with my family. Please keep us posted.
