Mumbai house fire that spread across the block relief - the families of Riverside Lane
Neighbors in the families of Riverside Lane are rebuilding after the house fire that spread across the block; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The house fire that spread across the block hit the families of Riverside Lane on 1 September. My home was one of 27 damaged, and 13 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $730
• Clean water and purification supplies: $85
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $75
• Food parcels for displaced families: $190
• Tools and labor for repairs: $170
Every share and every dollar helps.

Thanks for sharing this. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Nice
Praying for you. Shared this with my family. Love from Laredo.
Keep going, Arif. Looking forward to the next update.
Good luck. Shared it with a few friends. Don't give up. Love from Kasarani
rooting for you, Arif. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 27 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Keep going, Arif. Shared this with my family. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best
