Mukesh was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in November. The oncology team at Pune Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in February. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Mukesh is 49, worked as a farmer until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Pune Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,950 goes: • Scans and lab work: $250 • Transport to Pune Regional Medical Center: $175 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,400 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $125 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
