After the rent increase, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Parma, and the lease starts on Friday. I have a teenager and a toddler, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers. I'm hoping for a few strong people for about six hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel. The old place is on the third floor with no elevator and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me. I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

      I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. After 23 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
