Moving day volunteers: Manuel's family relocating in Rochester
A short, concrete way to help: a few hours of lifting and loading in Rochester.

After mold in the old building became a health issue for my child, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Rochester, and the lease starts on Thursday. I have three kids, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for a few strong people for about five hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the second floor and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

thinking of you, Manuel. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Rochester
Thanks for sharing this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update
