Jerusalem
After an unsafe stairwell, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Jerusalem, and the lease starts on Tuesday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers. I'm hoping for 3-4 helpers for about three hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel. The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me. I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Hope things get better soon, Eitan. Hope you get there. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.

    • stay strong, Eitan. It takes guts to ask. Well done

      • Rooting for you, Eitan. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.

          • Wishing you the best. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. All the best.
