Moving day volunteers: Divya's family relocating in Dwarka
A short, concrete way to help: a few hours of lifting and loading in Dwarka.

After an unsafe stairwell, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Dwarka, and the lease starts on Tuesday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for four volunteers for about six hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the second floor and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
I hope life is good to you.

Praying for you. Looking forward to the next update. After 7 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.
Thanks for sharing this, Divya. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
Wishing you the best, Divya. Your post was clear and honest. My husband and I read this together. Love from Bonny.
I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Put this on a community board in Berlin this morning. God bless!
You're not alone. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I went through something like this 8 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Dwarka.
