Juiz de Fora
After a break-in at the old place, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Juiz de Fora, and the lease starts on Saturday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers. I'm hoping for 3-4 helpers for about three hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel. The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has an elevator. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me. I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Thanks for sharing this, Caio. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Juiz de Fora.

        • You're not alone. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care

          • wishing you peace, Caio. Shared it with a few friends. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.

            • Good luck, Caio. Shared this with my family. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best

              • Hope things get better soon. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Juiz de Fora.

                • Praying for you. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from Hồ Chí Minh City.

                  • Thanks for sharing this. Your post was clear and honest. I hope June is when things finally get easier. Love from Konya.
