Moving day volunteers: Buddhini's family relocating in Negombo
Buddhini has found a safe new apartment in Negombo and needs help moving heavy furniture on Monday.

After mold in the old building became a health issue for my child, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Negombo, and the lease starts on Monday. I have three kids, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for 3-4 helpers for about four hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
