Mobility fund: stair-climbing aid for Pandu in Jakarta
Pandu needs a stair-climbing aid that the health system won't fund; the cost is $100.
Anywhere in the world442 views
Pandu lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Jakarta Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100.
His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Pandu could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $100 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $45
• Fitting and training sessions: $40
• Delivery and set-up: $15
Thank you so much.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Pandu
Sure. The biggest one is first-year servicing plan, $45. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks, that means a lot.
sending love. I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
So sorry you're going through this, Hani. Shared it with a few friends. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless.
