Mobility fund: prosthetic leg for Juan in Ciudad de México
A prosthetic leg would give Juan independence - we are $250 away.
🇲🇽 Mexico905 views
I live with an amputation below the knee. My occupational therapist at the Ciudad de México Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $250.
My current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could speak with the people around him. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $250 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $110
• First-year servicing plan: $70
• Delivery and set-up: $70
Thanks for being kind about this.

Hope things get better soon, Juan. Looking forward to the next update. Please keep us posted
Hang in there, Juan. I hope things turn around soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Thinking of you and your family, Juan. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together. All the best.
