Kyung-mi lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at Gangnam General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $4,450.
Her current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Kyung-mi could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
