Mekelle
Bezawit lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at Mekelle General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100. Her current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment Bezawit could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $100 goes: • First-year servicing plan: $45 • Delivery and set-up: $10 • Fitting and training sessions: $45 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • you're not alone, Fikru. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did

    • Take care, Fikru. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
