Johannesburg
Imran lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at Johannesburg General Hospital has assessed him and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,300. His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment Imran could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,300 goes: • adapted tricycle: $1,150 • Fitting and training sessions: $45 • First-year servicing plan: $105 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
