Michael can't leave home - help build a ramp
Help Michael regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇦🇺 Mandurah, Western Australia, Australia628 views
Michael has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Michael can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Michael's family will cook lunch for the team.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

you're not alone, Caleb. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Pasig!
Stay strong. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Medellín.
Hang in there. Wishing Michael a smooth procedure and a full recovery. God bless!
