Mentor wanted: moving from taxi driver to UX design
Brielle, a taxi driver, is retraining for UX design and is looking for a mentor for monthly calls over six months.

I have worked as a taxi driver for 16 years, and I'm 49. After the factory closing, I decided to move into UX design, and I have completed a part-time diploma.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my interview answers, a realistic view of the job market in New South Wales, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for six months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Stay strong, Brielle. Hope this works out for you. All the best.
Sending good thoughts, Brielle. This could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 8 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care.
Keep going, Brielle. Small businesses are the heart of Sydney. Hope you're open again soon
Your post was clear and honest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry!
