Doris is working hard on mathematics but can't afford a tutor; 2 hours a week until the GCSE would help enormously.

My younger sister, Doris, is 17 and in the final year of school. Doris loves school but mathematics has been a struggle since the school was closed during the pandemic. The GCSE exam is in August. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Anaheim or online, for about twelve weeks. Doris is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in mathematics, you could change the course of Doris's year. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

        • education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Wish I lived closer to Knoxville so I could bring a meal.

          • I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out.
