I'm Marcus, 16, in Form 6. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study public health.
I have a distinction average, I volunteer at my church youth group and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until October. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

- 1 hour a week

Praying for you, Marcus. Your post was clear and honest. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best.
so sorry you're going through this, Marcus. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
Thinking of you, Marcus. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
as a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
