For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $145, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 266 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $450 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $35 • Materials: $380 • Tools hire and delivery: $35 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Hope things get better soon, Jumoke. Shared it with a few friends. We're a small family in Zapopan but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Wudil.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Jumoke.

        • Jumoke Damilola CokerOwnerAnswer

Sure. The biggest one is safety equipment and signage, $35. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Appreciate you taking the time.
