The landslide hit the families of Riverside Lane on 3 July. My home was one of 14 damaged, and 6 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym. The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming. Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before. We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy. We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates. Where the $1,050 goes: • Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $185 • Roofing sheets and timber: $690 • Tools and labor for repairs: $175 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Kevin

  3. We're at 6% thanks to 2 of you. I made the first payment toward bedding, blankets and mattresses. More news soon.

  • Stay strong. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. I'll check back for the next update.

    • Take care. More neighborhoods should do this. We're a small family in Quezon City but we're thinking of you. Love from Quezon City.

      • Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care

        • Sending strength, Kevin. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor in Mardan donated after I showed her your page.
