Lydia needs someone who understands: peer support in recovery
Peer mentor wanted by a person ten months into recovery from opioid addiction.

I'm ten months into recovery from opioid addiction. I attend meetings and see a counselor, but the weeks between meetings are the hardest. I'd love a mentor - someone who has a year or more of recovery and who would be willing to talk once a week.
I'm not looking for a replacement for treatment. I'm looking for someone who understands what a bad Tuesday night feels like.
I'd prefer someone who's happy to do video calls. Any country is fine. I'll be respectful of your time and boundaries, and happy to pay it forward later.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- 1 call a week
- format
- Online or by phone
- skills
- lived experience, empathy

Keep going, Lydia. Wishing Lydia a smooth procedure and a full recovery. It's not much but it's yours.
You're not alone, Lydia. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Put this on a community board in Miami this morning.
