Los Angeles tornado relief - the Millbrook neighborhood
After the tornado, families in the Millbrook neighborhood need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The tornado hit the Millbrook neighborhood on 30 April. My home was one of 49 damaged, and 14 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $6,250 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $4,300
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $850
• Clean water and purification supplies: $440
• Food parcels for displaced families: $660
Thank you for reading my story.

Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Los Angeles.
You're not alone, Isaiah. This could happen to any of us. Blessings.
Hope this works out for you. We're a small family in Brasília but we're thinking of you. God bless.
Praying for you, Isaiah. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out!
