Los Angeles hurricane relief - Greenfield village
Neighbors in Greenfield village are rebuilding after the hurricane; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.
🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States1,006 views
The hurricane hit Greenfield village on 15 December. My home was one of 32 damaged, and 11 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $5,700 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $2,450
• Roofing sheets and timber: $2,000
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,250
With deep gratitude,
Mauricio

Praying for you, Mauricio. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Blessings.
Sending good thoughts. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of Los Angeles.
