I have worked as a factory operator for 15 years, and I'm 34. After years of wanting more, I decided to move into UX design, and I have completed a self-study course with a project portfolio. What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my interview answers, a realistic view of the job market in Ohio, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming. I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for three months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time. All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled. I hope life is good to you.

  • Hang in there, Jacob. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care.

    • it takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to Buffalo so I could bring a meal
