Looking for an accounting mentor: Jagath's career change at 42
Seeking an experienced accounting professional for guidance on the transition from factory operator.
Anywhere in the worldPosted Oct 1, 20261,164 views
I have worked as a factory operator for 14 years, and I'm 42. After years of wanting more, I decided to move into accounting, and I have completed a bootcamp.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my capstone project, a realistic view of the job market in Western, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for three months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Small businesses are the heart of Negombo. Hope you're open again soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless.
Hope it all works out, Jagath. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. It's not much but it's yours. Greetings from Jakarta.
Rooting for you, Jagath. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Take care!
Sending good thoughts, Jagath. Your post was clear and honest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
Rooting for you, Jagath. Hope the shop reopens soon. Wish I lived closer to Rome so I could bring a meal. God bless.
