Looking for an accounting mentor: Fábio's career change at 36
A mentor in accounting could help Fábio with a portfolio, interviews and first-job strategy.

I have worked as a factory operator for 16 years, and I'm 36. After a health scare, I decided to move into accounting, and I have completed a self-study course with a project portfolio.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my interview answers, a realistic view of the job market in Rio de Janeiro, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for four months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
Glad we found this place.

You're not alone, Fábio. Your post was clear and honest. Take care.
best of luck, Fábio. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Manila so I could bring a meal.
Sending love, Fábio. Hope the shop reopens soon. I hope November is when things finally get easier
Thinking of you and your family. Hope you get there. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless.
stay strong, Fábio. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Rio de Janeiro.
