Looking for a teaching mentor: Wangari's career change at 27
Seeking an experienced teaching professional for guidance on the transition from call-centre agent.
Anywhere in the world204 views
I have worked as a call-centre agent for 9 years, and I'm 27. After my children starting school, I decided to move into teaching, and I have completed a part-time diploma.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my interview answers, a realistic view of the job market in Mombasa, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for six months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
Glad we found this place.

Stay strong, Wangari. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up
Wishing you the best. Shared it with a few friends. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Likoni.
You're not alone, Wangari. Your post was clear and honest. I have a 17 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care.
