Looking for a teaching mentor: Salma's career change at 44
A mentor in teaching could help Salma with a portfolio, interviews and first-job strategy.

I have worked as a warehouse supervisor for 10 years, and I'm 44. After being laid off, I decided to move into teaching, and I have completed a bootcamp.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my interview answers, a realistic view of the job market in Dhaka, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for six months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Thanks for sharing this, Salma. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
so sorry you're going through this, Salma. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I have a 12 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Hope the shop reopens soon. After 25 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings.
take care, Salma. Gave what I could, wish it was more. God bless.
Best of luck, Salma. This could happen to any of us. Sent it to 16 people at work.
Thinking of you, Salma. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Greetings from Los Angeles
