Looking for a teaching mentor: Njoroge's career change at 30
Seeking an experienced teaching professional for guidance on the transition from factory operator.
Anywhere in the worldPosted Oct 1, 2026892 views
I have worked as a factory operator for 9 years, and I'm 30. After a health scare, I decided to move into teaching, and I have completed a bootcamp.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my interview answers, a realistic view of the job market in Nairobi, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for six months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Hope things get better soon, Njoroge. Small businesses are the heart of Nairobi. Hope you're open again soon. God bless.
Sending good thoughts, Njoroge. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Nairobi.
Best of luck, Njoroge. Small businesses are the heart of Nairobi. Hope you're open again soon. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out.
