Looking for a teaching mentor: Gerald's career change at 28
Seeking an experienced teaching professional for guidance on the transition from warehouse supervisor.
Anywhere in the world848 views
I have worked as a warehouse supervisor for 11 years, and I'm 28. After years of wanting more, I decided to move into teaching, and I have completed a bootcamp.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my interview answers, a realistic view of the job market in California, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for six months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
Glad we found this place.

Hope things get better soon, Gerald. This could happen to any of us
Hang in there, Gerald. Shared it with a few friends. Take care.
Thinking of you. Hope the shop reopens soon. Thinking of San Jose.
Thinking of you, Gerald. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
Stay strong, Gerald. It takes guts to ask. Well done. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust
Keep going. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out
Small businesses are the heart of San Jose. Hope you're open again soon. All the best.
