Looking for a software testing mentor: Simone's career change at 35
Simone, a stay-at-home parent, is retraining for software testing and is looking for a mentor for monthly calls over six months.

I have worked as a stay-at-home parent for 9 years, and I'm 35. After my children starting school, I decided to move into software testing, and I have completed a bootcamp.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my interview answers, a realistic view of the job market in Alberta, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for six months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.

Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless
rooting for you. Looking forward to the next update. After 24 years in retail I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Take care.
Sending strength, Simone. Your post was clear and honest. My neighbor in Juiz de Fora donated after I showed her your page. God bless.
