I have worked as a call-centre agent for 17 years, and I'm 48. After being laid off, I decided to move into software testing, and I have completed a bootcamp. What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my capstone project, a realistic view of the job market in California, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming. I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for six months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time. All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
