Looking for a software testing mentor: Chinedu's career change at 46
Seeking an experienced software testing professional for guidance on the transition from stay-at-home parent.
Anywhere in the world390 views
I have worked as a stay-at-home parent for 10 years, and I'm 46. After a health scare, I decided to move into software testing, and I have completed a self-study course with a project portfolio.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my resume and portfolio, a realistic view of the job market in Lagos, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for four months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
Glad we found this place.

Perfect example of someone making a real difference. They took time out of their busy schedule to help me and never made me feel like a burden.
