Looking for a renewable energy mentor: Jacques's career change at 54
A mentor in renewable energy could help Jacques with a portfolio, interviews and first-job strategy.

I have worked as a hospitality worker for 18 years, and I'm 54. After my children starting school, I decided to move into renewable energy, and I have completed a part-time diploma.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my CV and LinkedIn profile, a realistic view of the job market in Gauteng, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for three months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

- 45 minutes a month

Thanks for sharing this. Looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Soweto.
Wishing you peace, Jacques. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings.
Thinking of you, Jacques. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I hope June is when things finally get easier.
Keep going. Shared it with a few friends. My neighbor in Bangkok donated after I showed her your page.
Thinking of you and your family. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We're a small family in Moscow but we're thinking of you. Love from Moscow.
Small businesses are the heart of Soweto. Hope you're open again soon. Sent it to 5 people at work. Thinking of Soweto.
