Looking for a renewable energy mentor: Gifty's career change at 27
Seeking an experienced renewable energy professional for guidance on the transition from farmer.
Anywhere in the world1,094 views
I have worked as a farmer for 10 years, and I'm 27. After being laid off, I decided to move into renewable energy, and I have completed an online certificate.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my interview answers, a realistic view of the job market in Ashanti, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for six months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Thanks for sharing this, Gifty. I hope things turn around soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Kumasi.
Keep going, Gifty. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
sending good thoughts. Hope the shop reopens soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
