Looking for a project management mentor: Zainab's career change at 48
Zainab, a retail manager, is retraining for project management and is looking for a mentor for monthly calls over four months.

I have worked as a retail manager for 17 years, and I'm 48. After the factory closing, I decided to move into project management, and I have completed a self-study course with a project portfolio.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my interview answers, a realistic view of the job market in Lagos, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for four months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- 45 minutes a month
- format
- Online or by phone
- skills
- industry experience, patience, honest feedback

Hope it all works out. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out.
This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Ikeja

Stay strong. Hope you make a strong comeback. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Ikeja.
