Looking for a cybersecurity mentor: Santiago's career change at 31
Santiago, a security guard, is retraining for cybersecurity and is looking for a mentor for monthly calls over three months.

I have worked as a security guard for 14 years, and I'm 31. After being laid off, I decided to move into cybersecurity, and I have completed a part-time diploma.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my resume and portfolio, a realistic view of the job market in New South Wales, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for three months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
- effort
- 45 minutes a month
- format
- Online or by phone
- skills

So sorry you're going through this, Santiago. This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in Belo Horizonte this morning.
Wishing you the best. Hope this works out for you. Love from Tangier
