Looking for a cybersecurity mentor: Maryam's career change at 47
Seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional for guidance on the transition from retail manager.
Anywhere in the world930 views
I have worked as a retail manager for 14 years, and I'm 47. After the factory closing, I decided to move into cybersecurity, and I have completed a self-study course with a project portfolio.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my resume and portfolio, a realistic view of the job market in Cairo, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for four months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- 45 minutes a month
- format
- Online or by phone
- skills
- industry experience, patience, honest feedback

Sending strength. Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings.
