Looking for a cloud engineering mentor: Waylon's career change at 51
A mentor in cloud engineering could help Waylon with a portfolio, interviews and first-job strategy.

I have worked as a farmer for 18 years, and I'm 51. After my children starting school, I decided to move into cloud engineering, and I have completed a self-study course with a project portfolio.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my CV and LinkedIn profile, a realistic view of the job market in New York, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for four months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Sending strength, Waylon. Hope you get there.
thanks for sharing this, Waylon. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Blessings
Best of luck. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
Hang in there, Waylon. Small businesses are the heart of Brooklyn. Hope you're open again soon. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day!
