Looking for a cloud engineering mentor: Shawn's career change at 35
Seeking an experienced cloud engineering professional for guidance on the transition from hospitality worker.
Anywhere in the world960 views
I have worked as a hospitality worker for 6 years, and I'm 35. After years of wanting more, I decided to move into cloud engineering, and I have completed an online certificate.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my CV and LinkedIn profile, a realistic view of the job market in California, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for three months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thanks for sharing this. Looking forward to the next update. After 13 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
