Looking for a cloud engineering mentor: Divya's career change at 29
Seeking an experienced cloud engineering professional for guidance on the transition from taxi driver.
Anywhere in the worldPosted Oct 1, 2026985 views
I have worked as a taxi driver for 11 years, and I'm 29. After my children starting school, I decided to move into cloud engineering, and I have completed a bootcamp.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my resume and portfolio, a realistic view of the job market in England, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for three months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
Glad we found this place.
