Liliana was diagnosed with prostate cancer in December. The oncology team at the Ciudad de México Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in January. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Liliana is 48, worked as a bank teller until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Ciudad de México Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $3,450 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,200 • Scans and lab work: $280 • Transport to the Ciudad de México Oncology Institute: $270 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $175 • Household costs while unable to work: $525 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Karina
