Let's build a youth football pitch together in Vigo
A community-led a youth football pitch at the Liberty vacant lot that will serve 139 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $3,050.
It will serve about 139 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,050 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $410
• Materials: $2,350
• Safety equipment and signage: $290
